I began my career in the media analysis and evaluation sector in 1999 when I joined Metrica. Assisting the company through a rapid period of growth, I learned about project and client management from two excellent leaders: Richard Bagnall and Paul Hender. I was mainly responsible for UK based assignments, and oversaw 50% of the company’s turnover. Key accounts I managed in the early days included Orange, Abbey National, Levi’s, Sainsbury’s Finance, AEGON and the North West Development Agency.
Escaping the London scene in 2003 for the windswept Pennine Moors, I have remained in the sector, but now I have a prettier view from my window.
Since 2007 I have nurtured a team of hard working, meticulous and experienced freelance media analysts. We analyse tens of thousands of items of media content each month, across as many as 100 client assignments.
I am passionate about skills and training. I have been governor at Accrington & Rossendale College, and before that was involved in the Studio Schools movement. I have delivered workshops and training sessions to promote the excellent work of AMEC, and have been supported in this endeavour by the CIPR, UCLAN, Cardiff University and PR agencies.
